Rainmaker Business Technologies provides software solutions, business intelligence products and consultancy services to the Airline industry both in Europe and in the USA. We are currently seeking to recruit a Junior DevOps Build Engineer for a permanent position based at our offices in Sandymount, Dublin.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance our Continuous Integration environment on a real-time basis, monitor builds, maintain configuration, and resolve build issues.
• Deploy Rainmaker’s software both manually and through automation
• Automated procedures to improve the build, configuration, and deployment Rainmaker software.
• Collaborate with Architects, Systems and Network Engineers, Software and QA Engineers, to continuously improve the efficiency and reliability of build and deployment processes to support all phases of development including production releases.
• Assist with Azure Infrastructure automation
• Automate Azure infrastructure management
• Take ownership of specific key areas of DevOps, by providing leadership and prioritisation of issues 

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for Junior DevOps Engineers who are passionate about technology, DevOps, automation & learning. We have a large platform of software including an ASP.NET Open-source web framework for .NET  Web Front End, WCF Services, Windows Workflows, Windows Services, Click Once Win form Applications & a broad suite of Database tools & SSIS Packages.  Engineers working within our organization will gain great experience across the entire stack and throughout the entire project life cycle.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Third level Degree in Software Engineering or an equivalent qualification
• GIT Source Control expertise.
• Experience with continuous integration and build/deployment practices. Teamcity, Azure DevOps Pipelines, or other CI systems is a plus.
• Experience with a Scripting language – e.g. PowerShell or Python a plus
• Excellent Interpersonal & communication skills (both written & verbal)
• Ability to work on own initiative or in a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Other Desirable Experience & Skills

The following would be beneficial but not necessary:

• Azure PaaS technologies
• Knowledge of IIS Web Server and Windows based platforms
• SQL and MS SQL Server skills
• Selenium
